When the vocabulary was created what features of the language were considered?

When creating the bilingual vocabulary, several important language features were considered to ensure it meets the communication needs of users. Fringe words, such as names of festivals, foods, and places, were carefully selected because they reflect culturally relevant and context-specific vocabulary that a person communicating in that language would naturally want to use. These fringe words complement the core words, which are frequently used across various contexts. Additionally, aphasia strategies have been incorporated into the aphasia page set. These strategies are designed to help individuals with aphasia navigate the language, providing structured support for comprehension and expression. This ensures that the vocabulary can be used effectively by individuals with different language processing abilities, particularly those recovering from brain injuries or language disorders. The structure of the languageā€”such as sentence order, grammatical forms, and gender-specific variationsā€”has also been taken into account to maintain natural language flow and accuracy.
