Communication Works 2025

Ace Centre is delighted to once again be partnering with CENMAC for our forth year of Communication Works!

Communication Works 2025 are free events, one taking place in London run by CENMAC and another in Oldham organised by Ace Centre. They aim to allow visitors to learn about a range of assistive and accessible technology, communication tools, digital strategies and person-centred approaches.

The seminar programmes (tbc) will offer the sharing of best practices and implementation ideas when supporting learners using assistive technology. The exhibition spaces will provide an opportunity for visitors to get hands-on with the latest products and innovations as they meet with new and established suppliers.

See below some of the highlights from Communication Works 2024:

Who should attend?

School and health SEND teams including teachers, SENDcos, teaching assistants, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, QTVIs, educational psychologists, parents and carers, AAC and AT users

Guest Speaker

Jonathan Bryan (Teach Us Too)

Jonathan is the founder of Teach Us Too, a campaign and charity supporting young non-verbal children to maximise their learning potential. Diagnosed with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), Jonathan overcame significant educational barriers after leaving his specialist school, supported by his mother’s focus on building his communication skills, eventually leading him into mainstream schooling. Jonathan has also helped to raise awareness through leading a Read & Write petition to the Minister of SEN, a book detailing his experiences (Eye Can Write), and a documentary film showcasing his advocacy. His aim is to transform educational opportunities for children facing similar challenges.
