2024 will be a transitional year for Ace Centre, as we say goodbye to our long serving CEO Anna Reeves and, in her place, welcome Bob Birchall to the organisation.
Statement from Anna Reeves:
Following my retirement from Ace Centre at the end of 2023, I am delighted to announce the arrival of Bob Birchall as the new Ace Centre CEO. Bob brings immense and considerable insight and experience from his previous roles in NHS management and charity CEO positions, which along with his understanding and experience of working with children and adults with a wide range of disabilities makes him the ideal candidate for this position and I hope he enjoys this role as much as I have over the years.
I have worked at Ace Centre since January 1996 when there were five or six communication aids available on our shelves! Times have definitely changed since then and I am immensely proud of my part in the transition of the Oldham-based service to a respected and highly valued national charity. Our services are needed more than ever and I wish Bob every success in realising the many opportunities on Ace Centre’s horizon.
Statement from Bob Birchall:
I am absolutely delighted to be joining the Ace Centre team, and really excited about the opportunities ahead.
The Ace Centre’s reputation for excellence and innovation has been earned over many years through the dedication of the staff and the absolute understanding that we are all here to support the people who use our services, and all our actions are focused on understanding and meeting individual needs and providing the best solutions possible.
I am hugely grateful to Anna for all her excellent work in helping us get to where we are today and look forward to the future with real sense of purpose and positivity.
