We’ve been busy getting ready for Communication Works 2022, free live events on 19th May in London and 26th May in Oldham, celebrating all things assistive technology.

First organised in 2009 by London based AT Advisory Service CENMAC and Charlton Park Academy, Communication Works has always been a popular event allowing school and health professionals,  students and their families, to try out the latest innovations in AT and AAC.

Ace Centre teamed up with CENMAC in 2019 to bring Communication Works to the northwest but Covid got in the way! We’re very excited to be back on track and offer this event at one of our Partnership schools, New Bridge School in Oldham.

From the very beginning Communication Works has been about the power assistive technology and how it supports learning and inclusion and this year’s theme of #GetSeen heralds that concept. We were very excited and grateful when Tobii Dynavox offered to create a symbol specifically for the event which we’re pleased to offer you to download and use in the AAC or AT system of your choice!

Want to learn more about the process Tobii Dynavox goes through to create this and other new symbols? Check out CENMAC’s latest blog where Mary Long (CENMAC Deputy Team Leader) interviews Rob Cantine (Tobii Dynavox Graphic Arts Manager) here.
