I first discovered the Ace Centre through my work as a specialist teacher for pupils with a physical disability in Oxfordshire. I then had an opportunity to work in the area of Assistive Technology and AAC in Oxfordshire based schools. This brought me into more regular contact with the Ace Centre and the wide range of support that it gives to people needing AAC. I attended as many Ace Centre courses and training days as possible and when a job opportunity arose for a teacher at the Ace Centre, I was delighted to be offered a position. I am currently working on a consultancy basis and continue to enjoy being part of the team.
